Michael Calcagni

Attorney Michael Calcagni Michael Calcagni grew up in Nassau County and graduated from St. John’s University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. Michael earned his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School in 2008, and was subsequently admitted to the bar of the State of New York in 2009.

While attending Brooklyn Law School, Michael earned a prestigious internship with the Honorable John B. Riordan, Surrogate of Nassau County, where he developed a strong foundation in Surrogate's Court, probate and estate practce. Based on his performance as an intern and on the recommendation of the Court's Chief Clerk, Michael was hired by the Law Firm of Laurino & Laurino where he worked closely with the Honorable Louis D. Laurino, former Surrogate of Queens County, before ultimately establishing his own law firm. Michael became Of Counsel to the McDermott Law Offices in 2010, and is now Of Counsel to McDermott, Pierro, Mandery & Mandery, LLP.

Practice Areas: Michael concentrates his legal practice in the areas of Trust and Estate Litigation, Estate Planning, Probate, Administration and contested Accountings in the Surrogate's Court.

Memberships: Mr. Calcagni is an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association and its Trusts and Estates Committee, the Queens County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
